    Terms of Service

    Last updated: March 2026

    1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PayMyself ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

    2. Description of Service

PayMyself is a financial planning tool designed to help self-employed professionals, freelancers, and small business owners estimate how much they can safely pay themselves after accounting for taxes. The Service provides calculations based on user-provided inputs and publicly available tax rate information.

PayMyself is not a tax preparation service, accounting firm, or financial advisor. The calculations and estimates provided are for informational and planning purposes only and do not constitute tax advice, financial advice, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified tax professional or CPA for your specific situation.

    3. User Accounts

To access certain features, you may create an account using your email address and a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

    4. QuickBooks Integration

PayMyself offers optional integration with Intuit QuickBooks Online. When you connect your QuickBooks account, you authorize PayMyself to access your financial data (including revenue and expense information) through the QuickBooks API solely for the purpose of performing owner pay and tax reserve calculations.

Your QuickBooks data is used only for real-time calculations and is not permanently stored on our servers beyond what is necessary to maintain your active session and provide the Service. You may disconnect your QuickBooks account at any time through the Service or through your Intuit account settings.

    5. Data Usage and Retention

We collect and store only the minimum data necessary to provide the Service: your email address, a securely hashed password, and QuickBooks OAuth tokens (if you choose to connect). Financial data retrieved from QuickBooks is used for calculations and is not sold, shared, or used for any purpose beyond providing you with the Service. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

    6. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. PayMyself, its creators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

Tax calculations are estimates based on publicly available tax brackets and rates. Actual tax obligations may differ due to deductions, credits, local taxes, and other factors not fully captured by the Service. You are solely responsible for your tax filings and payments.

    7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to: violate any applicable laws or regulations; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems; interfere with or disrupt the Service; use the Service for any fraudulent or misleading purpose; or reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.

    8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software, are the property of PayMyself and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written consent.

    9. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

    10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may also delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

    11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

    12. Contact
